What I really love about this story is it takes a different path than the 'popular' one. It's interesting to see Bones all but removed from the situation. To see that struggle is an incredibly interesting perspective. I also love that Bones is at Jim's. /sap

Can't wait to see what you have planned!

I've purposely kept myself away from other fics while assuming everybody and their cat was writing vigil!fic, so I'm glad I cooked up something semi-original. Thank you SO much for the encouragement!

This is wonderful, so full of detail and insight. I also like that Bones is a little removed from the situation, I think that's realistic in terms of the way things would fall out after they get back to Earth, and it jibes with the snippet of canon that has Boyce as Jim's attending physician when he wakes up. And a lovely little touch, the drink to Pike...

Thank you so much! I'd forgotten about Boyce--I remember noting it in the theater and thinking that my Boyce-loving friends would have a field day, but I'd forgotten it since *makes note to work into story*.
