Heartbreaking, sad, heartfelt, and beautiful. Uther redeemed hisself and brought Merlin home. On top of that you used one of my favourite songs from Les Miserable. Awesome, beautiful, fantasic story.

I honestly think Arthur would be the one who suffered most. He's changed so much since Merlin came to Camelot, so it's like Merlin has come to define him. Glad you liked the fic

I liked how Arthur was willing to do whatever it took to get Merlin out of there. I'm glad that Uther finally saw reason. Good job.

Well... Arthur was willing to die for Merlin in the labyrinth of gedref so I don't think there's much he wouldn't do for him. Glad you enjoyed the fic though

Awww, poor Arthur. :( He definitely needs Merlin. This was so heartbreaking, but I'm glad Uther was able to do the right thing in the end and redeem himself. I'm glad that Merlin returned to Arthur before it was too late. I enjoyed reading this. ♥

Thank you. So happy people are enjoying this. I love fics where a character manages to redeem themselves, so Uther was irresistible to me!!

Oh Uther, you big softie.
This story is very refreshing, mainly because Arthur didn't really do anything but wilt like a pansy. xD
I love that Uther was enlightened (although it took six months and Arthur on the brink of death), and he himself brought Merlin back.
Gaius was pretty bad-ass, too, so.
Good job, and thanks for sharing. ;)

Glad you liked. I think Arthur kind of used all of his strength forcing himself to let Merlin go, and he kind of hated himself for that. As for Gaius being a badass... What did he have left to lose?
