That's my story, too. Probably the story of many people our age.

I remember seeing Obama debate Keyes on C-SPAN in 2004, thinking about Obama, 'that guy should be president.' Last night was the culmination of not only all that hope from the last 4 years of watching such a thoughtful person run for president, but also the last 4 years of watching such a blithering idiot slowly tear apart everything about this country I used to have pride in.

Of course, this isn't the end, but it certainly is a promising beginning.

Exactly. He's got a lot to do and he's inheriting a country that's broken, but I have...I don't know, faith? Never had it before. Not sure what it feels like. But I know he can do it. :)

I enjoyed reading this and agree whole-heartedly. I think we should all consider ourselves lucky to be able to say we were there. we don't usually get the opportunity to vote for someone like obama, you know? it's all very exciting.
