so far the worst part is that i can't pick up a wireless signal from work b/c it's all password protected and i don't know how to get into the system. but i'm figuring out the mac pretty quickly i think. I JUST CHANGED THE DESKTOP BACKGROUND. SUCCESS. i feel like a grandma asjdlk;

Sometimes with mine I have to put a $ before the password on a PC wireless network.

Yay. The things I had to get used to (most of which you probably already know):

Apple Key (Command) does all the things you used to use Ctrl for. Ctrl just does EXTRA THINGS.

"Delete" = backspace
Fn + "delete" does the thing delete used to do.
Apple+Option+Esc = Ctrl+Alt+Del
Click + Hold = right click
Ctrl+Click = right click
Apple+H = minimizes your open program to the Dock
Apple+Q = quits program

When a program is open, that whole bar at the top has to do with that program. To do something in another program, either go down to the Dock and click the one you want or hit Apple+H until the one you want shows up.

Once you go mac, you'll never go back.

I LOVE IT SO MUCH. the only thing i can't figure out = WHY IT LOVES ME BACK. B/C IT'S TOO PRETTY FOR ME.

julie one of the first things i did was go online at work and print out a massive list of the mac shortcuts b/c that apple key just sits there mocking me. "I COULD MAKE YOUR LIFE A LOT EASIER IF YOU KNEW HOW TO USE ME."

i will be forever learning.

You can also use Apple+Tab to switch between apps. Just ctrl+tab or whatever it is on Windows.

i am very sad for you. i don't have a case for my macbook so i just brought it home all naked on the bus and i couldn't imagine why i wasn't getting mugged by TEN CRACKHEADS AT ONCE b/c this thing is obviously a goldmine. when i say i am very sad for you, i am being sincere.

i found mine for cheaps from a girl who was selling it for the $$. i will send a big wish for the same luck for you.

i played around with an iphone in the apple store the other day and it is amazing. i predict widespread mugging.

and i love that you have one now! the apple key is the best thing ever and i never even THOUGHT to go online for all the shortcuts.
