I tried to put a picture here, but I'm reposting it, so sit tight.
I haven't updated with one of those lengthy, drawn out, colorful, "tell you everything about my life/day/future while keeping things gramatically correct" entries in awhile. I think it's about time for one.
Well... recently (if you couldn't tell by the pictures), I went to Melissa's play, "Wagon Wheels West" (so much for gramatically correct, the title of the play should be underlined. Just an F.Y.I.). The play was actually put on by a type of 'community theater', so, needless to say, it was lacking some of the jazz that her other plays have had. The cast was all under the age of 15, Melissa being the oldest and this little 7 year-old girl being the youngest. They were quite good for a group of kids that young, they pulled off their lines better than some of the middle school plays, however, it couldn't compete with what Melissa is actually capable of... Oh well, it's exposure, right?
I'm actually using indentation in this entry, I must be really tired, or sick, or something. It seems that when I'm bored, my grammar gets better and my accent gets worse. After the play, when we got some ice cream, I was talking to my mom on the phone, and I realized how bad my accent is when I talk to her. Even in my regular, everyday voice, I noticed that I definitely have the "Pahk the cah" accent (Park the Car, for those of you who have been living under a rock). Alex started giving me a hard time once he heard me say that I'd eat my ice cream in the car. He said he never laughed, but he was definitely trying his hardest not to.
That all happened Friday night. Saturday night, Alex had me, Caley and Danielle over again just to hang out. It was prom night, so everyone saw at least one limo on the way to his house (even Danielle, and she just lives down the street.) I was the supplier of the movies, like I almost always am, and all three girls outnumbered Alex in voting for Sweet Home Alabama (again, it should be underlined). His dad even said he wanted to watch it, just so Alex would get mad and have to sit through it. I LOVE that movie. We (the girls, not Alex) were all 'Aww'ing, and smiling about Josh Lucas (the blond lead actor) and Alex was most certainly laughing at some of the parts, proving that he did not dislike it entirely.
After the movie, we went outside for a walk. For any of you who remember Saturday night, you will recall that it was raining. We were well aware of this, but proceeded to be led around his massive yard and woods in the rainy darkness. Me and Danielle were wearing flipflops... and Alex had just cut the grass. So, not only could we not see where we were going, but we were also wet, grassy, and green.
When we got done being stupid and having fun with it, we came back inside and started playing Egyptian Rat...screw (?) the card game. I had to be taught how to play, if you cannot already tell. So we spent the rest of the evening playing cards and listening to The Killers with blankets and my dead cell phone on Alex's porch. It was a good time.
More recently... yeah, nothing is happening. Well, that's not true. This week is the art show, and I hope to either take pictures and put them online, or just bring everybody I know. I want to show Steven my stuff, and I'm heading down there this weekend, so the idea of taking pictures is quite likely. ANYONE CAN GO. It's open from 5 on Wednesday night until forever. I'm assuming it opens every night at 5 and it's in the Theater lobby. YOU GUYS SHOULD GO. I have like a TON of work in there. Seriously, go check it out. This is like the Superbowl for artists.
So yeah, I do believe I have covered everything. Mr. Konstant said something today that made me take my screen name out of my User info for Livejournal. He was saying how at the Safety assembly they showed how someone could trace you through the 'blogs' with just a little information. So I took off another link to me. Maybe that's paranoia, but, hey, I'm not risking getting stalked. I also found out today that Jess isn't the only person who has called the Cain Man 'cute' in a very giggly way. I've said before, "Yes, he has a cute PERSONALITY and is a very nice guy," but never have I uttered the words, "Oh my God! I love Mr. Cain! He's so cute!" Alicia Zajac can be added to the list of people who get giggly towards Mr. Cain. She's giggly in general, however, so I'm not sure if that counts.
Okay, while I'm sure everyone - and when I say everyone, I mean at the very most ALL TWO PEOPLE - who actually read all of this is just begging for more, I need to go read Once and Future King, because I'm cool like that and I actually haven't gotten as far ahead as I should be, thus making me behind. So, I'm leaving...
^ That's quite long if any of you are brave enough to read it.
