Collection Evaluation is driving me CRAZY

I almost went nuts today, to the point that I started to tear up a little and had to get a drink of water. Quite a dramatic reaction to arguing about how to evaluate databases. Group discussions suck. I hate the fact that someone once thought of them and was like "hey! An easy way to get out of actually teaching anyone anything!" And now everyone does it. Bastards.

Okay, first of all you have to look at the source(s) of your problem, here. Both of your adversaries love to argue things to the point of disintegration, and one is a bit chauvinist, the other is pretty old-school. You, being the hip liberal-minded female that you are, are bound to run into these types on occasion. It just sucks that it's happening in library school. I feel your pain, though... it is very frustrating to argue with someone who refuses to look at things from any other viewpoint than their own.
