Well I'm watching The Plan for the first time.  Everyone has told me that it isn't worth the time, but I had to watch it for myself, because, you know, it is BSG.  Anyway, they were right

I actually loved The Plan but I am one of the very few, lol.

I find Caprica very boring though but know a lot of people who really like it so u should definitely give it a try.

That's why I wanted to watch. I had to make my own decision about it. I did't hate it, but I wanted to see new footage and of course, I wanted Mary in it :( I'll give Caprica a try. Thanks for the input.

Mary said in Spain that they asked her to be in The Plan, but she had just wrapped on Daybreak and had essentially 'died' herself in playing Laura's death. She was nowhere near ready to revisit the character. As far as using archival footage of her, the studio would have had to pay her full rights and a chunk of the royalties, as dictated in her contract, so they used stunt legs for the one shot that was supposed to be her. Even in Spain, she said she wasn't quite ready to play Laura again, but was close to that point

I get Mary not being ready to revisit the part, it was such a powerful ending. Anyway, I'll be getting Caprica :)

Thanks for this - I can understand her feeling that way... if we are devastated at the death of her character, how much more raw an experience must it have been for her? But good to have this info about the Plan. I haven't seen it yet either.
