Ahhhhh

I couldn't stop dancing tonight.  It was great.  Part of it (yay!) was because many of the leads wouldn't LET me stop dancing-I often had 2-3 suddenly arrive in a cluster around me at the end of a given song.  Part of it was that even on the songs where I didn't have a cluster of leads, I just couldn't stop moving.  It was almost like the Seattle ( Read more... )

A room full of fuzzy people... swing42 September 11 2008, 13:41:36 UTC
but I do sometimes need to feel the whoosh of a really solid swingout or 20

Hey, I always try to give you as many straight swingouts as possible. :)

I'm in the throes of my pre-fall allergy slump, so my body and brain are both (at best) fuzzy

I swear everyone was that way last night! Out of the people that realized what was going on; Carissa mentioned that she had stepped on, or been stepped on more often then ever last night. Travis was wondering around the dance in a self described fog, just "kinda spacey and out of it." Lynsey was "over medicating on allergy meds, and feeling very good for it."

As for me, I had a nap on the couch before the dance. So I was wide awake, but stiff, and generally off balance all night.

On the plus side, everyone seemed to be having a really good time dancing to Bill's music! :)

(shh, don't tell my locals, but trust me, knoxville is feeling really bright and shiny and great for regular dancing right now... it was never that solid a night of dancing per week around here, but we just lost about half our best leads - michael deployed, andrew moved to denver, david deployed. grr.)
