Life After God by Douglas Coupland.

Gregory Maguire's Wicked and the rest of his books too, but especially Wicked.
I've got a crapload of cheesy vampire fiction, some of it more historical than cheesy, really, but if you wanted to come over and peruse my 'library' you are more than welcome.

In fiction - Harry Potter!! (the series got better as it goes on in my opinion). Other than that, like Steff, I also have a bunch of cheesy fiction and fantasy novels - you are welcome to borrow any that you wish. Most of my fiction is a Harry Potter / Lord of the Rings style, though I do have some of hte Dan Brown novels - Digital Fortress was a good cottage book for me last summer... Let me know!

If you prefer a more real science based book or something political, Naomi Klein is always a good read, as is Steven Levitt (Freakonomics) and Richard Dawkins. He has a new book out called The God Delusion which I haven't read but have been told is pretty good. I don't always agree with what he writes, but at least its interesting. :D ( ... )

The Other Boleyn Girl by Phillipa Gregory. It's a Fiction based on historical characters (King Henry VIII, Ann Boleyn, and her sister Mary). Steff will back up this book too as she loved it just as much as I did ( ... )
