When targeting such a massively-connected and technically literate population like the google staff, they should just use minimal packaging with a tinyurl or barcode link to a page displaying whatever elaborate message they wanted to use.

I noted the wasteful packaging in the Picasa caption. A QR code would have been very appropriate.
