They were quite hard indeed. They are kind of like riding a bike, though. I played through Mega Man 2 a while back after not having played it for many years, and muscle memory totally kicked in and I can whiz right through that one. Mega Man 3 I can, but to a lesser extent. The others are still relentless, though!

When Mega Man 9 came out a bunch of people were all "hurr they made this much too hard" but I went back and played MM3 and realized that the games have ALWAYS been this hard, and I just had a lot more patience for hard games as a kid.
