I just realized it's a lot simpler than I thought it was. I put a permanent link with the info at the top of the daily_stats page, but basically, you just go to Update Journal to create a new post just like you would in your regular journal - except at the end, it has a Post-to drop-down menu and you can select "daily_stats" in there to post to daily_stats. Sheesh.
