I knew the bad news already: here in Italy they did say it on the main TV news at lunch hour. I not even know how long an octopus can live though, so maybe its hour to die had come?

They say octopuses live for two years, in ideal living conditions up to three years. He was 2,5 and it was his time to go, yes. Even during the last world cup they said that he won't live for much longer.

As far as I know, they already chucked a new Paul into the basin, lol. Let's see if he is as talented as the old one. He has to live up to high expectations, the poor thing. XD

Well this new one can be the protagonist as the official predictor for the future European Championship in early summer of 2012 (since it should not be still alive for the next World Championship of 2014 ^_-)

Aww how sad! I didn't know their life span was so short. I thought they lived longer than that.

Yeah, they don't live very long. Some people claimed that he was poisoned. Because he knew too much, lol. XD

Let's see if the new Paul is as gifted as the old one. XD
