so tell me... why do you do the background after the foreground?

1) It saves work, time, and paint if i don't have to cover up any background I've painted. But more importantly,

2) The foreground is harder for me and has a greater chance of not looking like I want it to. If that's the case, I want to be able to dump the project without grumbling about how long I worked on it.
