i can't remember the last time that christmas went as well as this year. im very proud of my family.

we are in the process of planning a fancy new year's party. cocktails and balloons and champagne glasses all the way. ties and dresses and makeup. im buying a new outfit this weekend. hooray

i saw a plant today that traps animals. its called a pitcher plant. a bug, or snake, or frog or whatever, falls into the part shaped like a pitcher, and can't get out because the sides are too slippery to climb out. a pool of enzymes dissolves the animal. they sell them for six dollars at the botanical garden.
