things to look forward to

October has been kind of "meh" so far, so I'm thinking ahead to awesome things I have to look forward to.

Next Tuesday: Fable II. Fable was one of the only video games of that type (you're a dude and you fight and eat apples to gain health; that kind of thing) that I ever really enjoyed and I'm excited to play the sequel.

Thanksgiving: Chris and I are going to my family's house for a few days. We will eat delicious food and play with the dog and see old friends and hopefully my family won't be too crazy. I really want to go to this tea house that I went to once with my mom where you get scones and finger sandwiches and it's kind of awesome. I keep daydreaming about scones.

Sometime in December: New York trip! We are hoping to visit Mason in Brooklyn. It will be so beautiful to see New York around Christmastime; I'm very excited. I may also see an old friend from high school and his ten-month-or-so-old, so that could be interesting!

December 23: Celtics game with Chris. I actually saw the Celtics play years and years ago in Philadelphia and I was very grumpy because I was a Sixers fan and the Celtics won that game. There was a Paul Pierce fan in front of me who made me very annoyed the entire time. But now that I'm not a fan of anyone, this should be fun! And they're cool seats.

December 24: Christmas break! We are going to sit around like lumps and probably drink hot chocolate, and go up to NH for Christmas, and sit around like lumps some more and play with our toys and maybe I'll bake something.

January 1: Christopher's birthday! I am trying to think of something great to get him and I have some ideas already.
Also January 1: Lost season five! I am very excited about this. If next season is half as awesome as last season was, I will be satisfied.

February 1: Oh my god, people. The cruise. We are going on our honeymoon cruise. It is a 7-day cruise on the Celebrity Solstice (I think we will be on like, maybe the 8th cruise this ship has taken). It stops in San Juan, St. Maarten, the British Virgin Islands, and Haiti. We are staying in a fancy suite. Everything is fancy. We are going to get spa treatments and swim with dolphins. I am super, super psyched.

March 6: Watchmen. I am so ready for Watchmen. I keep listening to "The Beginning is the End is the Beginning" by Smashing Pumpkins from the trailer and wishing it were March already. The movie looks absolutely amazing and I'm really glad I read the graphic novel first. Let me know if you are reading this and you have any interest in borrowing it.
