simple coloring tutorial using psp9.

Cap from
csi-caps Firstly open your program you'll be using. I'm using PSP9.
Open up you screen cap. I'll be using this photo of Aiden Burn from CSI:NY.
ADJUST >> ONE STEP PHOTOFIX
Duplicate your base.
Set layer to SCREEN / OPACITY 100
Merge all.
Now crop your base to your liking. Mine is 352x352.
Resize to 100x100. Sharpen.
Duplicate your base set to SOFT LIGHT / OPACITY 100.
Add a new BURN / OPACITY 100 layer. Fill with #fdedd4
Add a new BURN / OPACITY 100 layer. Fill with #bce9ee
Add a new BURN / OPACITY 22 layer. Fill with #b1ebb1
Add a new BURN / OPACITY 8 layer. Fill with #c888c4
Add a new SOFT LIGHT / OPACITY 100 layer. Fill with #fec1c0
Add a new EXCLUSION / OPACITY 100 layer. Fill with #010119
Add a new EXCLUSION / OPACITY 10 layer. Fill with #010080
Add a new SOFT LIGHT / OPACITY 10 layer. Fill with #fec1c0
Your layers should now look like this:
Your done. =]
Keep in mind that depending on your base your icon will turn out different and may require different screen layers. And it may not need the one step photo fix. I usually don't use that but for this particular icon I did.
