14 ☆ Revival

Mar 05, 2011 08:00

Good morning, everyone. Last night, I have found myself hatched anew in the Hall of Beginnings. It was a relief that not only can I remember what I had named myself before, but also many of the experiences I have had and people I have met in the last seven months ( Read more... )

It's a relief to see you back, Stellaris! A lot of people missed you. We only met a couple times. I'm Sniper.

Thank you, Sniper. I remember you, your handiwork and our interesting conversation on electronic snails. How is the progress with the fireworks?

[No, she didn't know you fought evil dragon with fire.]

[And for once in his life, he's not going to brag. Because saying "Oh yeah, I saw your battered corpse after fighting the dragon" is just awkward... he'll leave that sorry job to Huo and Hawk.]

Oh, good. They're a bit [used up fighting the dragon?] slow right now. There's been a lot going on. Which you know, obviously.

I know, yet at the same time the knowledge feels like a distant memory. I suppose the cocoon has that effect.

But things seem to have calmed down as the month changes, if I perceive correctly.

Hey. Genius says to tell you hello. And that he's your science-friend. He'd write you himself but he's not been feeling well lately; I'm his brother Rick.

Please return my regards to him, Rick. Is he ill?

Yeah. Been under the weather all week. [Understatement of the year, but he's keeping tight-lipped about the whole evil Ben thing.]

He's glad to hear you're back, though.

All week doesn't sound like a light illness. Would he mind if I come visit?

This is Ice and I'm glad you're back. You helped me in the past. [She's feeling just a tad bit awkward.]

Hello, Ice. I remember, you are quite the colourful character.

Is your sister well? And how do you find Housekeeping work to be?

icecoldwolf March 5 2011, 07:15:53 UTC
Colourful? I didn't see myself as colourful. Why?

Yeah, she's fine I guess. Housekeeping is good. Quite (...)peaceful.

Because no moment with you seemed dull, as far as I can remember.

Even if ā-Stellaris should not remember me, her return is a great joy and relief.

[The writing is distinct, but he deliberately doesn't his name - call it insurance.]

[Ah, an upgrade?]

Remembering you is a great joy and relief, Huo.

[Dying messily will do wonders to the liberties you feel comfortable taking with your friends. A few teardrops stain the page, now: Huo is not normally given to such displays, but he deals very poorly with loss.]

Are you well, considering the circumstances?

[Brushing fingers against the teardrop stains, she wondered what he knew about the circumstances surrounding her death.]

Strangely yes. I have felt worse after a particularly busy day.

So late, I'm sorry. spandexisyouth March 6 2011, 23:16:54 UTC
Welcome back, Stellaris.

I am Gai, and I am sometimes loud, and we have met and spoken and I used to be known as Youth. And if you have forgotten me that is all right because I will make new memories with you.

Thank you, Gai.

I would never want to forget you, but it's heartening to know you'd make new memories with me otherwise. The way I have lost my cooking notes, which just means I need to make new ones.

You are very welcome!

I am glad to be remembered. And yes! We will make many cooking notes! But I remember to watch the food, so that is one fewer note that you will have to make.
