“Hey,” says Zhou Mi one morning in the dorm, free of schedules at least for the morning. He’s standing in the doorway of the kitchen in an old grey t-shirt- one of Siwon’s he found laying on the ground, a ratty old pair of sweatpants he dug out from somewhere. “If my heart stopped, would you miss me?”
Kyuhyun’s standing at the counter, cutting oranges and simultaneously cutting cantaloupe chunks. His hair is messy and he obviously just rolled out of bed since he was still wearing his glasses and his giant headphones, the ones he used for gaming. The knife slips a little and by a stroke of luck, misses his fingers and looks at Zhou Mi, frowning.
“What the fuck?”
Zhou Mi had been searching up witty things to put in his little Weibo thing he seemed to go on religiously, kind of an Asian twitter and come across this question posted by one of his ‘fan followers’. If Kyuhyun’s heart stopped, Zhou Mi would probably stop his own heart, preferably by stabbing it with Kyuhyun’s keyboard. Okay, something like that at least.
“Just answer it,” whines Zhou Mi, in a voice that resembled Heechul’s so much that Kyuhyun had to wince.
“Uh,” said Kyuhyun. So freaking, unbelievably corny, I can’t believe I am having this conversation, his brain thinks. “Restart it?”
“Right?” says Zhou Mi, agreeing, totally not seeing the sarcastic and bluntness of the question. He quickly turns away and Kyuhyun has a fleeting moment of panic, though he’d never admit to anyone, even in the privacy of his own brain. “Wait.”
Zhou Mi pauses and looks back, one hand on the doorway.
“I’d stop my own heart,” says Kyuhyun seriously.
Zhou Mi blinks and his face breaks out into a wide grin, apparently happy enough with that answer. “Oh my god,” he says. "Kui Xian loves me!"
“Get away from me,” scowls Kyuhyun, turning back to his ramen. “I don’t like you and your stupid face.”
