It was game again this past Sat. Damn, is it a fun game! It's so so so so so much fun. It's got to be one of the very favorite things I do these days. Amazing.
Ok, for those of you not with the program, I started LARPing back in 2000/2001 when I lived in West Chester. This particual game started several months back. Anyway, it's /so/ much fun. Like with any game, it all depends on the people you play with.
No you don't get to actually bite people.
How it works? Well, it works like any other RPG except with out dice and it's more role playing intensive. You do more and have less telling what you do. It's easier for people to stay in character when talking with each other when they're walking around and stuff. You keep your character sheet in your pocket. You do more of making your own character goals than you do in most table top, especially SR. In SR you're given jobs; in Vampire LARP you really have to think a lot about what direction you want to take your character in and come up with your own goals. That's been the biggest adjustment going from table top SR to Vampire LARP. However, I've got a handle on that now. It just really takes some thinking during character creation.
