Sometimes it's weird to think wow people died today, yet other days like today it's pretty much expected. Did these 31 or more people really change the average on how many people died today as opposed to others? Why don't we feel this same grief every single day for the however many people that die, and look in 15 minutes theres a good chance ( Read more... )

I suppose it's the manner in which they died and because it was so unexpected. When you hear about genocide in Darfur it's absolutely horrible especially if they go into detail but after a while the violence becomes the norm and we don't twitch as much as we should at it. And even as the violence gets worse, the limelight fades and we forget that people are out there dying. We should never forget. AS I'm typing this, Someone's probably jumped off a building or ended their life in some horrible way. Life's short. No matter how you look at it. Treat is preciously and live like you're going to die tomorrow. That way, you have no regrets ( ... )
