I started taking melatonin supplements to help me feel less death-like in the mornings. Supposedly, it makes dreams more vivid as well, but I have sadly been stuck with these boring work dreams for weeks. Probably just another product of how much my job is sucking me dry ( Read more... ) -

I have been brainstorming (and procrastinating on a masterful level) a book idea since I was a junior in high school. Since then, it's evolved and warped to a point where the original storyline is fragmented and can only be found in the tiniest of crevices. My 26th year is when I started making my own coffee in the mornings, eating vegetarian (mostly), and appreciating my own body. I still have days when I look in the mirror and I'm like, "Oh my God." But you know what? I'm fine with it. September will bring me one step closer to 30 and I'm fine with that too.

Today, I spent as little time on the internet as possible. I edited photos, knocked out most of the book I'm reading, caught up with a friend over lunch and just existed. It was glorious. So, I know I said I wasn't planning on coming up with a new year's resolution. But I think I may have lied. I vow to have more days like this.
