We posted our Saturn on craigslist yesterday and sold it this evening. That car has been ours for the past six years. It saw me through my senior year of high school, all of my undergraduate studies, and my first year of graduate school. I just watched the season premiere of Glee.

It made me laugh and cry (caused by the laughing).

I approve.

I received $20.10 from the Compton Courthouse in payment for my services as a juror and mileage to the courthouse (one way of course).

They waited until the last day to call me in to serve. Now I have to drive into Compton tomorrow and be at the courthouse by 7:45. I have mentioned before how much I loved the television show Valentine that got cancelled this past fall. I found out yesterday that the four unaired episodes of the show actually got aired back in June and July. I have now seen all eight episodes of the show and have become more bitter and resentful of the CW. It only got better, and the "series ( Read more... )

Yesterday, Ruth and I had a wonderful day.

We swam in a successful attempt to escape the 103 degree heat. As we lounged in the water we talked and had some bonding time.

Then we went back to Ruth's to eat cookies, chips, and salsa on the patio while we chewed the fat some more, relaxing in the shade.
