A long time ago, Naminé envisioned Sora as the hero she needed and wanted during her confinement in Castle Oblivion. Despite the things she did to him, he was able to forgive her, and in the process he taught her the value of following her own path even if she didn't have her own heart. Now he is her cheerful, strong-hearted big brother, and the unofficial leader of their motley family. In him she is able to find the best examples on how to live her new life.

Naminé's origins are entangled in everything that Kairi is. Before, she was confused and hurt, knowing she was the literal shadow to this girl filled with light, warmth, and emotions. By the time they were brought to the Facility, they had reconciled and Naminé had willingly allowed herself to join back together with Kairi. Now that Naminé has her own body, the two are as close as sisters, and endeavor to grow alongside each other as they learn magic to get stronger for the sake of their friends.

He was and continues to be the quiet guardian of his friends' happiness, something Naminé has come to respect him greatly for in the time she's come to know him. The two have a history of helping each other in their time of need, and as such a strong camaraderie has formed between them.
