Court: I think you're doing a great thing by keeping Skye's journal for her. I think they are a great way to vent whenever you are upset, and just to generally record what's going on in your life.
My parents know I have a journal, and they actually think it's a good idea. Granted, I'm a little bit older than you guys, but I still don't see anything wrong with writing what you feel.
To Skye's parents: If you are reading this: I don't know you at all, and I have never met Skye in person. I just know that without my journal I would be a lot more depressed and unhappy than what I am now. Journals are a great way to express your feelings and I definitly don't approve of someone being punished for writing what they feel. What a great way to encourage someone to become completly introspective and to cut themselves off from you more than they already are. I know that this isn't any of my business, but just think about what kind of message you are sending Skye by prohibitng her from WRITING ABOUT HER LIFE AND HER OPINIONS ON THE SUBJECT.
