I know you probably don't remember me, but I posted on how to become an ALT in Japan over at leveL because you posted that you were there forever ago. I got in and am working up in Northern Japan! I'm getting to the point when I watch American shows the driving looks wrong.
I took some 3-D animation in college. I didn't get to work with Maya, but Cinema 4D. The first animation that you do is going to be really thrilling. It'll be complicated to get started with coding, and different line dimensions and all that stuff, but when you see it move it's great. My first was making a ball bounce. Showing the squish and extension and everything. I hope you enjoy it and have a great time at Grad School.

Oh wow, that's so cool to hear! i do remember you actually, haha! Where abouts in the north are you? All the way up in Hokkaido? (that would be amazing) Wait until you come back and actually can't figure out what side of the road you're supposed to be on....that and the inadvertant constant bowing and going 'mm! mm! mm!' while people are talking to you, haha.

I'm doing 2D and 3D stuff concurrently....2D I'm pretty comfortable with, Maya I'm just learning to model at this point, lol. It's fun though, but terribly intimidating, I feel like it'll be a year before I even understand what I'm doing, and then I have to make my own short film using it! WAUGH. I'm gonna post all my projects as they happen, so hopefully you'll get to watch along ^_^

I'm in the Aomori prefecture. It's the little dip on the coast leading towards Hokkaido. Where I'm living used to be a major port for trading with Hokkaido. I bought a Kotatsu at a used store place and am really looking forward to winter!

It's good to hear from you again! I've actually been wondering how you've been doing, so I'm glad to hear that everything seems to have worked out for you. Hopefully I'll catch you on AIM sometime soon—it seems like it's been forever since we talked.

Best of luck with graduate school! It sounds pretty demanding, but as long as you can get excited about it, I think you'll be fine.

neonbluuuuuuue :D I've been catching glimpses of your new journal, but we should catch up if you see me online ^_^

Grad school is intense, but I do enjoy it....I just don't see too much of a social life in the near future, lol

Exhausted from work, but almost finished my novel - as in, on track to finish on Tuesday. I'm already looking into publishing houses and agents :)

Well, I never really talked to you before much, but always LOVED Level. I'm overjoyed to hear that you're gonna start it back up, and that things worked out with Grad. school for you. Hopefully I'll be in grad school myself in 2011 if all goes according to plan!

Awww, thankies! Yknow I sat down about 2 nights ago and jsut read through the whole thing....I was surprised by how much I liked it, lol. I always think of all the pain and agony that goes into making it, I never get to just sit and enjoy it, haha.

I understand what you mean about not being able to appreciate your own work. That's how I felt about music by the end of high school.

I'm hoping to either study clinical/counseling psychology or go to med. school and specialize in psychiatry..... I ultimately would like to be involved in clinical work. It absolutely fascinates me, and since everybody is different I figure it might be a job that'd be tough to make boring since every patient I'd work with would be different from all of the others.
