I'm tellin' ya. The breakwater in Rogers Pk., you can see the Grant Pk fireworks AND Evanston. At least the arial stuff. And sometime you get to see bits of whatever their doing around Irving Park Rdish. Not sure who's show that was last year but they had a few nice rockets.

Sounds like a good, non-crazy option. I've done Navy Pier the past couple of times I went down to see the fireworks, it's a good vantage point, and less of a logistical pain in the butt. Rogers Park sounds like less of a scrum. Not sure if I'll be back in the city in time for the fireworks, but when are you planning on going? Even if we don't catch the show, it would be nice to get together soon.

Well, the city's fireworks were last night, and a strangely sad showing it was. I *think* Navy Pier is doing fireworks tonight, so I'll be walking over there a bit before nine (after I make sure that it is really happening). Should be a better view than Grant Park, 'cause there's no buildings between here and there (except NP itself). I would be good to get together.

I'm stuck at work, or doing family stuff, mostly, so my availability is pretty low unfortunately. What brings you into town, though?

My friend Shannon lives here; We're just out and about. I try to make it up to Chicago about once a quarter -- love the town, and I can get here cheap. :)

I should also mention at this juncture that I live in Indy, and can Megabus it here for under twenty bucks, round trip, if I plan ahead. :)
