Quickie recap because a.) I'm too lazy to write up a full recap and relive the flailing, so I'll save that for the next episode, which I have yet to see, and b.) I'm about to head into class.
To reiterate from the previous episode:
- Mary is the Sauce of Awesome
- Sherlock is actually thawing as a character, holy shit.
- JAWN
Considering this episode was written by Steve Thompson, Mark Gatiss, AND Stephen Moffat (whom I haven't really been enamored of as of late) I am shocked at how human the characters have become. Like, wow.
ON WITH THE EPISODE... FEELINGS.
- Mark Gatiss as Mycroft is a gift. Also, he works out. Also, MARK GATISS.
- Sherlock's buddy-buddyness with the Maid of Honor was nice.
- The case was actually kind of hilariously well complicated and yet nicely tied together.
- The ending stomped on my heart, but we'll get to that.
- THE WEDDING... RECEPTION!!
- Sherlock is so insecure... and Mrs. Hudson isn't helping :'(
- Lestrade was invited to the wedding. LESTRADE...!
- Molly is so sensitive and I love her
- MOLLY'S BOYFRIEND
- MRS. HUDSON
- MARY MORSTAN
- MARY WATSON
- MARY MARY MARY MARY MARY
- MARY IS THE BEST OKAY
