_slytherin_girl Ok, I'm done now.
AND... I watched Sherlock Holmes yesterday for the first time (I'll obviously watch it again, yes.)
So. Fell in love with RDJ in the first two minutes. Really. Let me explain...
I never felt anything special for him. Sure, he's a good actor, really talented and I loved Iron Man but he was just... another actor, even if a really good one.
But then... I can't even... Maybe it was the fake english accent, or watching the Letterman interview with the real american accent. IDEK. He's suddenly gorgeous and perfect and how did I not see that before?
Ahem.... But back to the movie...
Holmes planning his moves before he makes them and being just awesome. I doubted RDJ's Holmes for a while, but my opinion really changed.
There's more action, Holmes is a little more desperate, a little messier and some things are a little exaggerated. But that's expected from Guy Ritchie.
The movie is still good. Actually it's great. Can't stop thinking about it...
Blackwood was good (also fell in love with him. But that's just because I have a thing for villains). Coward was... fail. I liked him :)
I didn't think I was going to like Irene in this movie becuse "ew, Holmes love interest" but even when she drugged him, he didn't want her. The kiss was -as I expected (hoped)- just Irene kissing an unconscious Holmes.
Whenever he was around her... I don't know where people saw him acting in love. I just saw him going "Wow. Woman! What do I do? What is she doing? Why is she naked...?". It was... endearing. As weird as that sounds.
She was the interested one, not Holmes. He was just... maybe a little protective of her? Because he couldn't just let her die. He respects her.
But, even if I liked her and tought she was interesting, I hope this was the last we saw of Irene.
I'm gonna miss her...
I also liked Mary. Kelly Reilly is gorgeous. I probably have a crush on her, too. And she said Watson had a lousy doctor! <3<3<3
Too bad she's going to die...
And THE GHEY, people. Holmes and Watson were SO MARRIED in this movie <3
"Our rooms (...) Our dog(...)" And he was just... I don't know if it's just me, but I tought he always looked so hurt by the fact that Watson didn't want to live with him anymore. He probably was hurt.
Holmes is so needy and more than a little desperate in this movie. Holmes is closer to a Victorian AU version of House, really. But the ACD canon is still very much there.
I will have to watch again (and again and again and again and again) to be able to point out my favorite bits, but pretty much everything Holmes and Watson said to esch other was gold.
I'm still not over this movie, and I don't know when I'll be. But I really recommend.
Watch this movie. And brace yourself for the awesomeness.
:)
And Edited and edited again because LJ is a bitch and ate my entry...
