What follows is more that I usually tend to write on these things, and is probably of no particular interest to more than a select few of you who are reading this. I'm just trying to organize my thoughts more than anything, as well as to inform those who are worried about what's going on ( Read more... )

I strongly suggest you consider doing the following if you haven't already: Make contact with the admissions counselor at PSU who would be dealing with your transfer admission. Begin making contact, explaining your situation and send them an official or unofficial copy of your transcript. Ask them to see which classes you would get credit for(they might ask you to talk to the Registrar about that) and how many more credits you would need to take in order to graduate. Then ask them how much that would cost.

If you like, I can ask one of the admissions counselors at WU for more advice on what to do but they'll probably tell you the same thing I told you. Make contact there, and set up an appointment with the PSU admissions before you go..they'll be able to prepare for you better than if you just showed up at their office(I know this from experience, both working in an admissions office and just showing up at the doorstep of one).

I'll speak from personal experience. After freshman year I got into Oregon State, did their orientation and talked to counselors there. Decided not to go, another year at Occidental, then did the Columbia transfer thing ( ... )

Echoing what was said above, contact the advisor/admissions peeps at PSU ASAP, and I think you'll just have to go from there.

This hardly counts as anything you should take into consideration when making a serious decision like this, but I will be a much happier person in August with you in Arizona than I would otherwise.
