Having said that, if you really wanted to go the whole hog, have you heard of flashbake?

...just that Flashbake itself won't run on windows. Still, I'd be happy to put together an alternative that would for you if you like the idea.

I hadn't heard of flashbake - but it sounds interesting. The random thing is, it would also be ridiculously useful at work (although I doubt our IT manager would let me run it).

I think for fiction, flashbake might be a bit too overkill even for me!
