Okay, so I have never written an artists statement.
However.
It seems to me that this is a critque, with some biography pitched in as explanation. That its what is, rather than what will be. It isn;t until the end that I think you hit the beginning..
What does our memory “protect” us from so that we can live our every day lives? What happens when someone remembers, when artwork is destroyed, or perhaps has a metamorphosis and challenges our preconception of what was and is? -- start the work here. And if you need to later, get into bio and history.
