Anyways, this is a one-shot that I began ages ago, but never managed to finish. It just went on and on and when I reread it recently, I had no idea how to keep going. But I liked it, so I kind of tied a rough knot and made it into an ending. I may come back to it later and

Beautiful. Absolutely breathtaking. I loved every line! all of the characters were IC and the tone of the entire piece encompassed each character's perceptions adn feelings very well. I could literally feel the tension of the village during the war through the words, even though you don't mention it all that much. Great job!
