For some reason my mind went to the gutter when I read this:

But the man, most likely the one who had chuckled, replied with disinterest, “I don’t need them.”

Okay, casting all the silly comments aside, I would like to congratulate you for starting this! When I read the title, Ambivalence, my mind immediately connects with the word, vicissitude XD. Change Neil's life, make him *beep* hahahaha!

But yes...WITTY NEIL!! It's the only way I'd imagine him to be! We'll see how long it lasts, though... my imagination is not being very kind to Neil's fate at the moment...

Beautiful. You've captured every bit of that innate, feral sexiness that Ali possesses - and you've created a scenario where we know that though it's bad for Lockon now, it will only get worse. I've been thinking too that someone should write this pairing, there are just not a lot of good opportunities during the canon timeline - but come on, Lockon's background requires it! It's as much a given as Graham/Setsuna, really. Also, the Ali fics here are far between - most people seem to agree that they love to hate him, but they probably don't want to see him torture their favourite characters even more. Well, I do. *loves on*

Yeah, I agree that the timeline doesn't really offer many oppertunities for the two, but I'm still going to bulldozer right over that fact and make this ridiculously AU. ^^; It's faaaar too tempting to pass up. (poor Lockon, I know...I'm sorry)

Regarding the minimal amount of Ali fics... I know!!! >_< I mean, I understand why everyone is happy to hate him, but he's such an interesting character! Seriously, if you know of any other fics centered around Ali or Ali/Lockon, buzz me...please? ^^

There was something in the kinkmeme that had meisters x Ali, where Lockon was participating, but that's it, I think. I've kept close track of all the fanfics posted on the various LJ comms at least, and I think I've read every single one that has Ali in it. There might be other places out there where G00 fanfiction is posted, but if that's the case, I haven't located them yet.

I think I read that one. There was also one other Ali/Lockon in the kinkmeme where Ali eventually knocks Lockon out and steals Haro, but that's all I know. Other than that, I've only ever found Japanese fanfics, which are brilliant if you can read the language...?

If...if I remember correctly, it was you who wrote that one Ali/Lockon in the kinkmeme where Ali ends up knocking Lockon unconscious and stealing Haro..? I read it a good while ago, but I remember I really liked it and the story stuck ^.^ Beats me why I didn't fall for the pairing right then and there.

I love the idea of Ali/Lockon, just because there's so much hate there (on Lockon's part at least) and, well, hate is a type of passion too, right? It's both wrong and delicious.

Definitely. I sometimes get bored of reading fluff and romantic sex. Every once in a while I need the hate-as-a-turn-on kind of fic. Oh the beauty of contradictions XD
