ugh! I had a court date today. And missed my teacher evaluation! My field supervisor was super pissed and really let me have it. Of course my master teacher is such a sweetheart and she says it's no big deal and she just explained that she covered for me and explained the journal assignment as I had explained it to her.
Still...man oh man. I mean, court...can't get out of that. I wonder why my field supervisor was so vahclempt about it.
Oooh - I know. I think it's the whole "I have x number of student teachers I have to check in on and if you aren't there, then I have to juggle all this other stuff to come back to observe you."
When I was student teaching, I came back from 2 days of barfing and had to teach -- got a bad observation cause I'd come back too early and was not doing well/nearly barfed on my front row. My supervisor was pissed till I told him I'd been sick the last few days... then he was okay with it and rescheduled the observation/scrapped the one from post-stomach flu.
So... maybe write an apology and explain that it was court/that you forgot to let the field supervisor know?
