I've never been one for rallies. I've never really seen the point. Since when has a rally ever changed anything, I though. With the exception of an anti-death penalty demonstration I was taken to as a kid, I've never actually been to one until today ( Read more... )

Word, homes.

Politics in this country shits me on so many levels (and let me tell you, I am SO GLAD I'm not an Australian citizen because I think I'd just have to throw darts at my ballot if I were voting), but I think the worst is the asshattery re: LGBT folks.

Much as I have to admit the two parties are pretty hard to split at the moment, I still think women, LGBTQI and anybody who's not a rich white man will have a better chance if we don't vote in the devout Catholic.

... okay, will be slightly less screwed over by Gillard than by Abbott.

Also, THE SHOCKING TRUTH about the gay agenda! :D

Glad the rally was such a great experience for you guys!
I was working when they announced that Prop 8 was overturned. There was a huge rally at the courthouse in town I wish I could have made but couldn't get/afford the time off.

I'm so happy you were met with support during your rally, it must have been quite an experience watching people unfurl rainbow flags in the streets! I just wish the people it was aimed to would actually LISTEN with their hearts.

Also, SYTYCD & mojitos sounds like a dangerous combination... for crying at sentimental dances, oo scary. ;)
