Same here. And things I drop on my desk (if you saw my desk, you'd understand why that's bad). And things my cat has licked.

To be polite I would but ... I was working in the Middle East and had been invited to dinner by a British friend. While I was visiting with his wife in the kitchen she was washing "Baby Diapers" (Poopy) in the sink. After she was done she cleaned the sink and then started cleaning the food for dinner.
It was the last time I ate at their home...
