Happy Halloween. I've been through this holiday before being in the City, however, I've never asked why it's candy you give out?

Because the "witches and monsters" must be appeased to go away or else they'll cause hauntings or mischief.

Though I'm not sure how many will be able to actually collect said candies with today's unfortunate curse.

Is there any particular reason you're handing out candy? Or is this just an attempt to appease everyone's odd cravings of the day?

For the trick or treaters. Though if you did want some yourself, I wouldn't say no.

I've come to understand that you dress up in whatever costume you like, go to a neighbors door and knock. They will answer and you say 'trick or treat' and then they give you candy. And if you don't then that warrants a trick.
