Today, I stopped on the way home from work to buy groceries. The swipe box didn't accept my debit card. After two tries, I apologized and left the cart against the adjacent wall. The cashier was cool about it. I called my bank and verified my available balance through the automated menu. Then I checked the balance through the store's ATM. ( Read more... )

howdee.
yah i heard WF was having weird problems; it was on the news like every 10 minutes. They are big in CA. it's crazy that it wouldn't take much to bring commerce to its knees with a few well placed bank errors.
i'm enjoying your funny posts! you guys went to an awful lot of trouble for that whole costume thing. What the hell did the other departments do, if you think you came in last?

My team came in last for the relay race because the masking tape kept breaking in our last event. (Wrap four people in a giant sheet diaper, using an entire roll of tape, lock hands around them and walk to the finish line.) I think we took second for the Wizard of Oz thing. The winning department did a pretty good job, but I don't remember which one it was.

I've got a bee in my bonnet for next year's production. I'm writing a script loosely borrowed from "V for Vendetta" called "C for Compassion". It's probably just because the music when Natalie Portman stands in the rain ("Evey Reborn") always chokes me up. It wouldn't involve NEARLY as much costuming and props as what we just did.
