There's a very thin line between "serious" and "mean". Some people can see the difference, and some can't.
I'm often on the "serious" side. Some people pass that off as me being very cold and, to a point, even evil-spirited. I'll quite assure you, I'm not that way one bit. When I'm serious, I tend to be a little cold, but that's usually because I'm trying to get what needs to be done, done. Whenever I'm in a casual setting though, I'm usually very friendly, hyper, and from what I've heard, really a nice person to be around. I've got a vibrant, but confusing, personality, that some people just can't get used to.
That's a bit confusing, but I hope it made sense. ^.^;
No. That's one situation that I can honestly say, I've never ran into.
There's been some cases where I get a little aggervated with a friend, because either I don't understand them, or, frankly, they annoy me. 99.9% of the time though, I can back away for a bit, and look at the situation, and see their side of it, and understand it better.
Every situation, and every person, is very different. I take each one as it comes. :)
As a side note, the questions that have came up so far aren't exactly what I've intended this post to be for... But, they do take it in a new, more exciting direction.
I extend gratitude to the two comment posters thusfar. They've taken this post to a new level that I didn't expect it to reach, least of all this soon.
Keep up the good work guys. :D You're certainly keeping me on my feet ;P
Neopets used to be fun. But... I don't know. It became like a continuous competition. It wasn't ever just for fun... I was always working on something, always doing something, always trying to be the best. That's not how it should have been... I ended up getting frozen, and simply quit after that. It wasn't worth the fight, it really wasn't.
Gaia has much better people, and a much wider range of things to be interested in, even if it's missing some of Neopets' finer points. Most importantly though, it offers one thing that Neopets never could - Freedom, to be who you want to be, say what you want, and be yourself.
I'll always have an attachment to Neopets, but...it's behind me.
