Pretty darn cool. If only we had 3G as a staple in the US, eh? Trusted Reviews is running an article about the Vodafone Mobile Connect PCMCIA card that gets 384kb/sec throughput. :-)

I get like a 112K connection with my T-Mobile phone, and they sell a PCMIA card that supposedly does the same. However, the connection from the cell tower to the internet is usually LESS than that, unless in a nice populated area. I wonder if this service/card suffers from the same issue? Usually cell towers don't have that big a pipe to them, or at least not enough to support a lot of internet traffic.

I've heard folks talk about the PCMCIA cellular connections being less than stellar, equating them to dialup speeds.
