Name That Chocolate Contest!

Nov 12, 2007 14:44

Since I have a couple of chocolate bars with cool names, it would be really neat if the rest of them did too.
So I'm running a chocolate-naming contest. Anyone who suggests a name that I like enough to use gets a free chocolate bar. Two bars if you can actually produce a haiku of names for clever bag packaging. ;)

Flavors that exist or are very likely to and have no name:

Orange Cranberry White Chocolate (the cranberries are very sweet-tart, the orange is a mild flavoring in the chocolate)
Curry Coconut Milk Chocolate (mild curry, but very tasty combo which blended well)
Orange Ginger Dark Chocolate (sweet candied ginger in orange-flavored dark chocolate, not yet made)
Peppermint Cookie Dark Chocolate (Peppermint-flavored bittersweet chocolate with crunchy crumbled Famous Chocolate Wafers)
Dark Chocolate Cherry (bittersweet chocolate with sweet Rainier cherries)
White Chocolate Rice Crunch

Flavors that exist or are very likely to with tentative names.

Sultana: creamy milk chocolate with plump golden raisins (Named after an out-of-production Cadbury flavor. I have 15 of these! Eek.)
Black Fire: Dark chocolate with cinnamon, cayenne, chipotle, and habanero
Snow Falling on Cherry Trees: white chocolate with sweet Rainier cherries and crunchy cocoa nibs
(Inspiration for the haiku contest; feel free to modify for better syllable use, but no freebies for slight improvements in wording.)

Uncertain flavors, as time allows:

Holiday Spice: dark chocolate with some combo of nutmeg/allspice/ginger/cinnamon/clove.
Rice Crunch, in whatever's around (likely to show up with leftovers). Rice krispies in chocolate.
Almond.
Wasabi-ginger-black sesame dark chocolate. Originally called the Black Pearl by Vosges, but I don't want exact name copies.
More peppermint cookie in milk or white.

(Names for uncertain flavors will only get prizes if they're either really cool or I have time to make them, with the exception of the wasabi-ginger.)
