It was nice to have three days of snow, but I think I prefer the warmer weather.

Edmund, is there anything you want me to bring from home when I visit later? Anything but sweets.

I like warmer weather was well.

Peter, what has Edmund told you?

About his accident? Little.

Caspian told me he fell through the ice while sparring yesterday.

He didn't mention ice to me at all. Or sparring. Only that it was an accident.

He probably didn't want you to worry. I had to question him for a while before I got anything.

I don't get this grudge against snow.

There's nothing wrong with snow, but it's a bit odd in July.

We were caught unprepared for the sudden weather change.

I think it's putting Christmas in July on a whole new playing field.

I know. I think a lot of people were.

Doesn't that take away some of the excitement from regular Christmas? Half the excitement is anticipation.

I have Turkish Delight! So biscuits and gummies and other such lollies will suffice for the moment.

... Wait -- I just read the part that said no sweets.

Soup then? Su's chicken soup if you will.

Who brought you that?

I'll make you some soup, but you'll have to ask Susan yourself if you want hers.

A friend. Kara.

But, Peter -- all right. Thank you.

Are you upset at me?

I hope you thanked her.

I am. Mainly because you tried to hide the real nature of your accident from Susan and me.
