Aha!

Landscapes are a little intimidating because I worry I'll flatten them out with my comparatively meager skills (I'm a decent-ish amateur, not an ~amazing artist!~ but some of those look small enough to be worth a shot. :D

Just about anything beats wall.

One of my writing partners, blackmare_9, is an artist in real life. She's done lots of murals on all different kinds of walls (hospitals, private residences, businesses) -- These are a few examples of her most recent work, at a Honda dealership near where she lives.

If you'd like, I could introduce you -- she may have some good suggestions on images, what works and what doesn't, time frames, etc. I promise she's really nice and doesn't bite. And PLEASE BE FEELING FREE TO SAY "NO WAI, NIGHTDOG." :-D

I have no artistic skills or appreciation myself, so I'm just going to provide encouragement in the hopes that this helps.

(I tend towards ridiculously detailed landscapes - which are absolutely no help in this particular situation).

Encouragement will help when I'm standing in front of a row of expensive paint tubes trying to decide how many colors I'll need. :|

(The last time I did paint mixing in large amounts was high school.)

I'm a physicist. We just get white and try to deconvolve it into its constituent colors (NOTE: This does not work).

You're a physicist, right? Then add more fizz.
