Hehe, always fun to read your journal posts:) Is this a rant? Or is it merely you trying to inform us how things /are/ in your life recently? It doesn't sound like christmas rush is doing you much good you know:p You could probably use some vacation right about now:) You're welcome to drop by in Norway if you want to:p I can take you to the innermost woods in Finland and show you Santas home when he's not on the north pole working:p

Hey, thanks for the invitation to come and vacation in Norway -- a very pretty county from all the pictures I’ve seen of it. I'd particularly like to see Santa's "summer home". :)

Was my journal entry a rant? No, not really. Just more of a comment on the season and how manic some people become during it. That and perhaps the "spirit of Christmas", that giving sharing spirit that elevates us for one day a year, might not be such a bad thing to have all year round. :)

Stop it! STOP IT!!! *shakes you around for good measure* Don't you know how you've just insulted women??!! Ho Ho Ho...

The very idea of Santa Claus and the commercialization of the holiday season was an idea cooked up by our government to control the minds of our children. Why what kid could resist the idea of a jolly old fat man telling our children to be nice or else they would get coal. (Psychological torture of the worst kind mind you...)

On the subject of "Merry Christmas". That is a slogan and push by the Christians to subjugate non-Christians into this theocracy that our government is turning into. Merry Christmas!? Now don't you see how insidious and evil that phrase is? These are Christians trying to push their values onto others and take away their religious (or non-relgious) freedoms. >:[

If it wasn't for that YouTube inclusion I would have suspected that you had gotten into the holiday eggnog a bit early. :D

Ah I am reminded of the late great Chales Shultz, whom in his own way contributed an errie prediction of the current state of Christmas. All about pink plastic tress, one uping your neighbors with outrageous lighting decor, shopper fatique, etc. But just as Charlie Brown was reminded of the real reason for the holiday perhaps just perhaps it is up to each of us indivisuals to stop and change things. Sure it is always easier to complain about it in Lj but what if you went around with a smile, unddeterred by the Scrooges of the world who would have you beleive that it is a false and comercial festival to be devoutly ignored. Bah I say to you Lionus and anyone else! GO out have fun, make it yourself if need be and give a little (or a lot) to your fellow man!

*repeatedly points at Silvermane to indicate that the wolf has indeed "got it" -- the whole idea of Christmas and how the spirit of Christmas BEGINS with each one of us*

Jeeze! I'm not going to buy anything, but I am working on a sexy photomorph of my mate BeastInShow; ever since I gave her one last winter solstice, our sex life has gone from good to hawt!!, so long as I do a new photomorph of her every couple of months. (They are on FA.) What a great deal!

I'll celebrate winter solstice sitting in my hot spring while watching the sun set. Wish you all were here in central Nevada to enjoy the hot mineral water, wide open spaces, and peace and quiet. (The nearest shopping mall is an 8 hour round trip drive away. Hurrah!!)
