I recently purchased two lip balms from Vintage Sister. They currently have their spring collection balms on sale.
Name: Circus Peanut
Color: Pale peach, but goes on clear
Flavor Description: "If you have ever heard of circus peanuts than you're familiar with this flavor. Forget the strange shape and weird name of this candy and focus on the sweet taste. This delicious balm is full of banana, a hint of orange and fluffy marshmallow folded in for extra flavor. Sure to bring a three-ring circus of yumminess to your lips. (Plus our little elephant is so cute!)"
Scent: I haven't had circus peanut candy since I was a kid, but this smells exactly like how I remember them to be. Mostly banana-ish, but with some sweetness to it.
Taste: Slightly sweet
Texture: Smooth and buttery
Packaging: Tin
Ingredients: Soybean Oil, Beeswax, Sunflower Seed Oil, Cocoa Seed Butter, Shea Butter Fruit, Vitamin E, Sweetener, Color, Flavor.
Price: $3.95
Purchased From:
VintageSister.comRepurchase?: This is a limited edition for summer, though I'm sure they'll probably bring it back every year. I'm not sure if I would repurchase... I like the flavor, but it's not very strong -- it fades really quickly after application.
Name: Cherry Cola
Color: Brownish red, but goes on clear
Flavor Description: "An all-American favorite drink splashed with sweet cherry. You can almost feel the bubbles on your lips!"
Scent: Not exactly like a real glass of cherry coke. It has more of an artificial scent to it -- like how cola flavored gummies and lollipops have a fake cola flavor. I can tell it has a cherry note to it, though. It's sweet and faintly 'fizzy' smelling.
Taste: Slightly sweet
Texture, Packaging, Ingredients, Purchased From: See above
Price: $2.50 (on sale)
Repurchase?: Again, this is a limited edition (this one is from the spring collection). As with the Circus Peanut flavor, this flavor fades pretty quickly. I think I would try the MLS Cherry Cola lip balm before repurchasing this one.
