today my mother turned fifty. i woke up early and made her french toast and orange juice. i went to my old elementary school to take pictures of the kids receiving their metallions for their reading awards "books and beyond." i treated myself to some coffee before cleaning my entire house. then i met my dad for lunch at the hospital. i decorated
