I learned a lot in the two years I was babysitting the girls I always babysat, but I think the most important thing is to realize that NOTHING is perfect when kids are involved, and though they are small they are very very capable of creating small scale catastrophies. This being said the only thing you can really do is try to fix it however possible and get on with stuff, don't take it personally, because it's not your falut and it's not their fault either.
Funny story, in one day, Amber(older girl) dropped the cat into their toilet, and then about ten minutes later we were making kool-aid and Brandy splilt a huge container of sugar all over the floor. Then about ten minutes before I was supposed to leave Brandy peed her pants. I'm not sure it could have been much worse.
I hope things get better, the longer you are there the more comfortable you will be, but you knwo this already.
Happy birthday!!
