This is something I've been struggling with off and on for some time. I've questioned whether I need to actually physically go to church and it's a struggle because of my social anxiety. But I feel like something is missing from my life without some kind of worship. I'm still trying to find the right fit though. I was raised Episcopalian, then became Catholic when I was about 19. I was married in the Catholic church and my daughter was baptized Catholic. But then when I was going through my divorce, I was attending a Southern Baptist church. I liked the teachings but I wasn't on board with some of their beliefs, especially gay marriage. Even now I would consider myself bi, even though I've never slept with another man. So probably the best fit would be a more liberal church but I'm not sure. I've actually been visiting the Catholic church off and on for the last couple of months but I'm not sure what fellowship opportunities they have outside of mass. So I'm definitely still searching.
