december:
on christmas eve i found a quilt my great great grandmother made out of old clothes and my father's 2nd grade report about cicadas.

and now it is march. and so much has changed.
but i still love melissa!

and filipe and katie and brooke and marissa and casey and christina and boo radley and sierra and christy and lydie and genevieve and marysia and my brother david and these are the only pictures that would upload.
the first hot day of the year always brings some sort of sudden change in people. it was 80 degrees today. blue blue blue skies with stretched cirrus clouds, sweaty foreheads and ringlets. i left school really early with courtney and we seized the day. we rolled down the windows of my grandmother's old red car and turned up the oldies and drove with red tongues from popsicles. and we walked in the forest and followed the boy scout trail, sat on a log in the creek with dangling legs, skipped rocks, and got high.
after crying for about two days straight for reasons i'd rather not explain, things are looking up immensely. and days that just work themselves out and days where i talk to my parents and days where my room smells like summer aren't frequent enough.
next week i will be in new york for the st. patrick's day parade with a lot of my good friends. i cannot wait! even if free time is limited!
suddenly, i've fallen in love with freaks and geeks all over again
and i've eaten package after package of cherry lifesavers.
